Raku Firing

Rachel Fooks makes good use of the outside space to do a ‘raku’ firing. ‘Raku’┬áis a traditional Japanese firing process – the fired raku piece is removed from the hot kiln and is allowed to cool in the open air or placed in a container filled with combustible material. The results were amazing and a fun day was had by all.
