The first of our two felting workshops is underway… lots of chatter and laughing on a cold and wet day! They are all doing very well. Spaces are still available for the next workshop on Saturday 15th December 10am – 1pm. Get in touch to book your place.
You’ll be guided through the steps necessary to create a cute little Christmas Robin from wool fibres. You’ll be shown how to form a shape, add colour, a tail and beak and some legs to mount it on a log – picking up skills that can be used for other needle felting projects. At the end of the session you’ll have your own characterful robin to take home and display. This workshop is a great introduction to needle felting for the beginner, or for those who have tried the craft before, an opportunity to pick up new tips and ideas.
During Purbeck and Dorset Art Weeks we held a competition to ‘Win a Hamper’. The winner is Pat Tempany – Well done! And a huge thank you to everyone for visiting us during the art weeks, it was so lovely to meet you all.
Our resident potter Rachel Fooks has 5 pottery kilns, but this one has been out of action for a while. She’s very happy to see her students work have survived the firing!
