A Handmade Christmas

We’re all busy making lovely new things to sell at our Christmas event on 30th November and 1st December 11am – 4pm. Please pop by and say ‘hello’… you might even find the perfect handmade gift for a loved one, friend or family. No tat, no plastic and nothing mass-produced! There’ll also be craft demos for you to join in with as well as home brewed mulled wine and mince pies for you to enjoy… perfect!! There’s lots of free car parking space and we’ll be holding a raffle to win an Christmas gift hamper. The next few weeks are going to be busy!!

Pottery Masterclass

Rachel Fooks has started running workshops for people wanting a deeper knowledge of Pottety and who want to explore the design process and make more challenging creations. Phillip and David are working on a sculpture, making a maquette in cardboard first – can’t wait to see this made in clay!

Ceramic Travel Cups

Rachel Fooks, our resident potter, has collaborated with Alan White (former masterpotter at Poole Pottery) to make ceramic travel cups. The aim is to try and reduce the amount of take away cups being used once and then thrown away, often ending up in land fill. This is an exciting addition to Rachel’s extensive range of pottery that she makes. Please contact her if you’d like to buy one of the cups which retail at £25 each.

Spring Hare Needle Felting Workshop

10am – 2pm (Bring lunch)

£35 (+ £3 materials which
include a foam pad, needles
& finger protectors to take home)

You’ll be guided through the steps necessary to create an adorable Spring Hare from wool fibres. You’ll be shown how to form a shape, add colour – picking up skills that can be used for other needle felting projects. At the end of the session you’ll have your own characterful Hare to take home and display. This workshop is a great introduction to needle felting for the beginner, or for those who have tried the craft before, an opportunity to pick up new tips and ideas.
